If you spend the time and money to develop and maintain
a site, don't neglect to take the final step and have it reviewed by an
experienced outside team of professionals. External review by the
editors of the Public History Resource Center:
Tests your site's navigation and usability;
Analyzes the message being conveyed by the site;
Determines if your site abides by current standards in the
presentation of online historical information through an in-depth site analysis
using PHRC's evaluation tool; and
Examines every page of the site, regardless of the level
of review selected.
The Public History Resource Center is one of the pioneers in
developing online standards for the presentation of historical information.
We have been publishing reviews of Web sites for more than five years. Unlike
other Web site review services out there, we specialize in history-oriented
sites. Furthermore, these are not automated reviews. We will go to
your site and apply our extensive experience to help you make your site more
effective.
Any level of review is beneficial to the creators and
users of an online historical Web site.
Here’s what we will look at….
We offer 3
levels of review, depending on your requirements. If you have specific
concerns about your site, we give you the opportunity to tell us, and we will
look at these as well, within the parameters of the review level you have
chosen.
